You And Smoking
Have you ever tried a cigarette?
Believe it or not, some children are as young as
five when they smoke their first cigarette. Most
young people who smoke actually admit they do
not really like it and only do it because it makes
them feel like grown ups. Is this sensible?
Other people say they do not want to say no if
someone offers them a cigarette because it
makes them look ‘soft’.
Do you know what the law is about
cigarettes?
It is against the law to sell cigarettes to children
under 18 - even if they are buying them for CIGARETTES
someone else.
TOBACCO SERIOUSLY DAMAGES HEALTH.
All cigarette packets must have a Government
Health Warning on them. These warn you that SMOKING WHEN PREGNANT
SMOKING CAUSES CANCER.
tobacco can seriously damage your health. HARMS YOUR BABY.
Tobacco companies are now not allowed to
advertise on TV or sponsor sporting events.
