Farmyards may look like exciting places to play, but they
are full of hidden dangers.
Can you match the dangers to the picture below?
A heavy load may fall from a fork-lift truck.
Badly stacked hay bales may fall onto you.
Farmyard containers may be full of poisonous chemicals.
Farm animals are not pets. Do not go near them unless you
are told by an adult that it is safe.
Rusty nails can give you an infected cut. Tell an adult if this
happens.
Slurry pits are deep and dangerous. Broken fences spell danger.
Fence-posts are heavy and may give you splinters.
Tractor tyres are very heavy. If they fall they might crush you.
Never touch farm equipment that has been left lying around.
