CSEF LAUNCHES “IF ONLY . . .” CAMPAIGN . . .

Earlier this year, CSEF launched a major campaign in an effort to raise awareness throughout the UK, that many of the tragedies we hear of involving children and young people could have been prevented.

How many times have you heard, or even said the words . . . “if only”?

“If only I’d known”, “If only he’d understood”, . . . the list is endless.

An indication of the task is evidenced by the World Health Organisation Report (2009), which states that:

“Around 830,000 children die from unintentional or accidental injuries every year. More than 1,000 deaths every day could be prevented by injury and prevention measure”.

This is reinforced by UNICEF’s Child Poverty in Perspective Report (February 2009), which states, “The U.K is the worst industrialised nation for children’s well-being”.

If, like us you care passionately about children and their safety, and you would like to get involved, please contact our fundraising department on 0161 477 5122.
